Hi! I'm Sweet Elizabeth

I'm a classically trained pastry chef,

and a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY and

Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI.

I began my career at a french bakery in coastal Massachusetts while still in high school. My grandmother, quite literally, took me by the hand and marched me through the bakery doors and made me ask for a job. I would often work before school scooping blueberry muffins and again after school, rolling the bars of chocolate into the croissants. It was here that I fell in love with baking...and butter...and sugar...and beautiful things.

In 2011, I opened Sweet Elizabeth's Cakes on Main Street in Manayunk/Philadelphia. This is where I fell in love with connecting with people...and red velvet cake. And I wasn't the only one! Shortly after opening the bakeshop, our red velvet cake was featured on The Cooking Channel, in The Philadelphia Inquirer, and on the Chew Philly Food Tours.  Since then, Sweet Elizabeth's Cakes has been a part of so many special memories in our customers' lives.

Now, available for delivery, I have created a line of my MOST-LOVED specialty cakes!

I am always honored to be a part of life's sweetest moments.  I am committed to quality. I use only butter (no shortenings), high quality vanilla & vanilla beans, Philadelphia Cream Cheese, and  local eggs when possible.

If you're going to celebrate, do it with a luxury cake!
